More About Me

In the strange event that you might be interested in myself personally, here are some facts:

I put IslamicBookstore.com on the web, officially, in August 1997 (we will be online for 10 years God willing then in August of this year)

I'm 31, happily married, with 1 wonderful daughter (alhamdulillah)

My university background was in the sciences (Biochemistry major), but I got hooked on the Internet way back in 1995 when email and online chat were keeping college students like myself glued to their UNIX text screens

My professional interests lie in business-related areas, particularly small business, operations management, inventory fulfillment, smalltime warehousing, data mining, marketing and other stuff related to running a business. Personal interests include parenting/family, jogging, reading, travelling.

I was born and raised in the good 'ol USA, but am originally from northwest Pakistan

Assalamu alaykum / Greetings :

I want to welcome anybody and everybody to this blog, which will be my own personal blog, though related to the company, of which I am the president (IslamicBookstore.com).

Just to introduce myself, I am a 31-year old male and founder of IslamicBookstore.com, probably the world's largest Islamic bookstore catered especially to the English-speaking world. We stock around 5500 titles specifically dealing with Islam, its faith/tradition/culture, and related subjects.

I'll try to maintain this blog with new and interesting stuff related to the bookstore, and I welcome any and all comments/questions from our customers, friends, suppliers, and others who may be interested. I can't guarantee I'll answer each and everybody, but will try my best, insha'Allah.
